From my new series in collaboration with Argentine artist, Elena Lasala. I incorporate Elena's textured oil paintings with my nature photographs creating unique images of the natural world that speaks to the soul. This image was created by utilizing two acrylic paintings I had created side by side. It was my original intent to use only one of my paintings to blend with my image of a tarpon, but I felt it was not complete with just the one painting, so I utilized both and the combination was a perfect match. My intent with the paintings was to recreate what if feels like just below the surface of the water where I encounter many of my interesting and amazing photographic subjects. The tarpon image was originally a video screen capture from my GoPro Hero 3 Black.
